Josh Borthwick joins Stuff as commercial director

Stuff has announced Josh Borthwick will be joining the team as commercial director – agency and direct.

In the role, Borthwick will be responsible for leading, developing and directing the national advertiser and agency sales teams, as well as the local direct sales teams.

Chief revenue officer Robert Hutchinson says the company has taken its time searching the market to find the right fit.

“I’m pleased to now have the final, seventh, senior revenue office appointment made.”

Borthwick joins Stuff from Trade Me, where he has been the head of advertising for the last four years. There, he transitioned Trade Me’s digital advertising business to a data-lead audience insights business, growing it from a team of 10 sales and operations staff to a group of 33 sales, product and technology, marketing and operations staff.

Previously, Borthwick founded advertising network Adhub, where he was managing director for five years.

Borthwick will be based in Auckland and begins on 6 August.
