Taking the lead

Clemenger BBDO Wellington has added group business director Rachel Turner to its team.

Turner brings 15 years’ experience at creative shops in Auckland, and a diverse strategic perspective gained from her leadership across large-scale corporate projects, socially-led campaigns and sustainable initiatives.

New brainpower

Colenso BBDO has a new head of digital with the arrival of Matt Barnes.

Having most recently worked at FCB, Barnes has a history in experience design, production and creativity.

Barnes will now partner with chief creative officer Levi Slavin and chief operating officer Paul Courtney to lead the company-wide digital offering, spanning across both its creative and studios capabilities.

He will own the company’s relationships with partners such as Google, Facebook and Amazon, working with them to strategise and execute digital branded experiences.

Slavin said Barnes’ creative, tech and production brain has its obvious benefits.

Fresh thinking

Ogilvy has welcomed senior creative Cece Chu to its team.

Most recently Chu was a senior creative at Saatchi & Saatchi London and prior to that worked at TBWA Auckland for Tourism New Zealand, NZME and Effies.

Behind the name

Acquire Online has rebranded, dropping “Online” to now be known as “Acquire – Custom Programmatic”.

The change is a response to the shifting dynamics of the programmatic advertising market that has experienced rapid growth in the past few years.

Acquire – Custom Programmatic reflects both the broadening of programmatic to include other emerging mediums like digital billboards, CTV and audio, and the personalisation and customisation of marketing.

Acquire managing director Chris Schultz said the marketing sector has advanced beyond the ‘one size fits all’ approach and programmatic advertising needs to follow suit.
