Mackenzie goes to the dogs

He was up on stage a few months back collecting the trophy for best production company at the AXIS awards. But George Mackenzie, who spent three years with The Sweet Shop, most recently as managing director for NZ/Asia/MENA, has decided to ply his craft elsewhere and will join Robber's Dog as managing director. 

"After three good years, it was time for something new. With the Sweet Shop's Asian office up and running and their recent success at AXIS, I felt like I had the perfect edit point," he says. "I have known Mark, Adam and Chris since we all worked together at Silverscreen. They are good guys and this is a great opportunity for me.  I am very pleased to call Robber's Dog my new home.”

"I think it goes without saying but I will, we are absolutely stoked to have George on board," says Mark Foster, partner and executive producer. "I am very much looking forward to having a partner in crime. He has a fantastic reputation and we feel he is a great fit with where we are as a brand right now. More importantly we see him as a big part of where the company will be in the future".   

The Sweet Shop's Rose Gunn says: "We aren't exactly replacing George, we have restructured things in a way where Fiona King has been promoted to Executive Producer for the NZ region and Claire Davidson who heads up our Bangkok office is the Executive Producer for the the whole of Asia and M.E.N.A (Middle East North Africa) regions. These three regions were previously George's."

Lost and found: ASB trumpets its alternative to card cancellation woes

In most instances, losing an item is little more than a frustration, but it can be quite a major problem when the said item is a credit card. Usually, the relisation that a credit card is missing is followed by about 20 minutes of manic searching, 30 minutes of concern about where you were pick-pocketed and then the painful recognition that you'll have to cancel the card for security's sake. Then, once the card is cancelled, nothing is quite as annoying as finding the now useless piece of plastic lying in your wardrobe. And given that its app helps users avoid the panic, ASB has released a new spot that takes a quirky look at a more relaxed search for a lost card.
