Linus Hjoberg bounces back with managing partner role at OMD Wellington

Only a few weeks after news broke of joint-managing directors Linus Hjoberg and Emma Bolser departing Ikon, the former has now secured a new role.

OMD announced today that Hjoberg would be joining its Wellington arm as managing partner.

In taking this position, Hjoberg will replace general manager Meghan Signalness, who is the leaving the agency to take on an international digital marketing role with a global beverage company based in Amsterdam.

Signalness worked at the agency for two years, being appointed to general manager a year into her stint.

OMD chief executive Kath Watson thanked Signalness for her service over the last two years and wished her well for the future.

“Meghan has made a significant positive impact on our Wellington business and I understand that her new role is a very exciting one that would have been hard to turn down. We all wish her continued success in her escalating career,” Watson said in an official statement.

The appointment of Hjoberg to this role comes off the back of news earlier this week that former OMD (Auckland-based) general manager Zac Stephenson would be taking on the role of managing director at Ikon, which became available following the departures of Hjoberg and Bolser.

Hjoberg will start his new role at OMD Wellington on 3 July.
