TVNZ chief executive Kevin Kenrick says that Niblock's executive experience over her career made her the ideal candidate to lead TVNZ’s continued growth in both linear and digital platforms.

“Along with her most recent position as CEO of Spark Media and Lightbox, Kym was responsible for growing Foxtel’s IPTV business in Australia, she was MD of BBC.com, Head of Broadcast Operations at SKY UK and has held a range of technical operations roles at Nickelodeon,” Kenrick says in a statement.

“Kym is joining us at an exciting time and we look forward to her contribution to enhancing our viewer experience and building on TVNZ’s momentum towards becoming New Zealand’s video content leader.“

Niblock starts at TVNZ on Monday, 7 August.
