CEO Gill Stewart set to leave the Marketing Association

Marketing Association chair Lance Walker announced today via an email to members that Gill Stewart, the organisation’s chief executive, would be departing her role after 18 months at the helm.

Stewart joined the Marketing Association in June 2015, following her decision to step down as the general manager of The Radio Bureau after around ten years in the role.

In taking on the role, Stewart succeeded former chief executive Michael Pryor, who left the role after nine months.

In his email, Walker thanked Stewart for her efforts while in charge.

“During her time as CEO Gill has led a major turnaround in the financial performance of the MA and has set us up well to accelerate towards our vision of inspiring business success through a connected marketing community,” says Walker in the email.

Stewart will remain with the Marketing Association until mid-May, and the organisation has already commenced the hunt for a replacement.

Previously, when the position became available, the Marketing Association received 50 applications from interested candidates across the industry.
