Account Manager - Social

Do you love all things Social? Colenso are looking for a talented Account Manager/Senior Account Manager with a proven background in social to join the Spark team at Colenso. This is a key role in the team working closely with the Senior Business Director and the Spark client service team at Colenso BBDO in delivering market-leading social, insight lead strategies, campaigns and communications.

As a representative of digital best practice your role is to facilitate delivery; ensuring deadlines are on time, every time and broader strategic requirements are trafficked through the agency in an appropriate manner. You’ll hear the voice of each department, bringing that expertise together in a solution that adds value to our client’s business communications.

You will identify and understand the key challenges of your client’s businesses, and facilitate an environment to deliver leading practice digital & social output that solves those challenges online.

• Taking ownership of campaign delivery that occurs via Spark’s social channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, You Tube, Instagram, Snapchat and WeChat for both Consumer and Business
• Driving the delivery of social outputs within broader TTL campaigns and working with the clients to facilitate always-on social communications
• Drive the on time and on budget creative development and full campaign delivery across the Spark portfolio. Including fully integrated campaign management from briefing and creative concepting, to execution, delivery and always-on optimisation
• Provide support to the senior team in the day-to-day, strategic running of the account
• Financials: create cost estimates, negotiate budgets, manage budget trackers
• Manage the strategic content calendar ownership including weekly updates and optimisation actions

 You’ll be able to hit the ground running with 2-3 years plus relevant work experience in social media account management roles
 Bachelor's Degree preferred
 Brilliant communication skills – written, spoken and interpersonal. You will also need the ability to adapt to the tone of voice required of the brand and motivate a team
 Maintenance of relationships with agency partners and external suppliers
 Well-connected within the broader social media world, ability to think strategically and deliver campaigns on time is imperative
 Experience of working with communications technology, including but not limited to social media platforms, cloud based services, content management systems, app ecosystems and toolsets for communication management.
 Ability to extract and clearly analyse data from a variety of online sources.
 Ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader team in a fast paced environment.

Why we like it: Who said toilet paper ads had to be boring? Dancing and toilet paper aren't typically associated but the combination of the two makes for quite an intriguing display. And beyond its promotion of the strength and suitability for sensitive skin, the spot is sure to make the toilet paper brand the one of choice for any toilet paper-themed costume parties. 

Who's it for: Fire and Emergency NZ by FCB and Tom Sainsbury

Why we like it: Nothing says check your smoke alarms like a bit of cheeky banter between a barbecue and a smoke alarm. The reminder to check your alarms is not a new one, but getting it across with anthropomorphic household items certainly offers a fresh take on the important message. If this first effort is anything to go by, then Snapchat comedian Tom Sainsbury is set to become a staple in local advertising over the next few months.
