Paid for enough client lunches lately? Time for you to get a freebie – and brooding alt-rocker Damien Binder’s more than happy to oblige. He’s releasing his third album, While the Wind’s at Your Back, with one show only in NZ, and it’s free. Mark in your diaries Friday 6 November, 8pm, Sale St, Auckland.
Years ago Binder started out in rock band Second Child. He debuted his first solo album in 2000. In 2003 he was an APRA Silver Scroll finalist, and in 2006 was shortlisted in the International Song Writing Competition. He’s performed nationally and internationally, including the SXSW festival in Texas. In NZ he’s supported David Gray, Marianne Faithfull and Ani De Franco. Binder now lives in Sydney.
While the industry focus is often placed on flashy bits happening on the surface, Contact Energy chief customer officer Vena Crawley says it's often the hard graft beneath the surface that makes the difference.
