VMO takes over Wellington offices

Val Morgan Outdoor (VMO) is now capturing the eyes of Wellington office workers, with the expansion of its VMO Work network into the capital’s CBD, bringing the number of digital office tower screens to 80 across 50 buildings.

Managing director Anthony Deeble says this is a significant step in expanding its reach in prime CBD locations across New Zealand.

Positioned in high-traffic thoroughfares in office buildings—such as lift-well and lobbies—VMO Work plays video as well as providing up-to-date news and sports, financial information, weather and the property’s directory information.

It was March 2016 when VMO crossed the ditch and put its workplace product into 22 Auckland CBD and fringe locations, and by the end of 2016, total investment in the local network equated to more than $2 million.

When it launched, VMO planned to have 250 screens in premium office buildings by the end of 2016.

However, with only 80 screens so far, Deeble now says the plan is to double it in premium office buildings in both the North and South Island by the end of the year.

“We’re committed to investing our market-leading technology in the New Zealand market,” he says.

Last December, VMO also launched DART (Digital-outdoor Audience in Real Time) to the local market, to anonymously analyse audiences to demonstrate who has viewed a campaign and how long they have engaged.

Across the VMO Work network, that exclusive measurement system measures 15,000 New Zealand viewers on a weekly basis.
