oOh! Media expands its Wellington presence

oOh! Media has marked its territory in Wellington’s Coastlands shopping centre with the addition of 16 retail panels.

The panels are part of a long-term agreement with real estate company Colliers International for advertising rights to its centres.

The agreement, which further expands oOh!’s full-motion digital and classic retail network in key New Zealand locations, also includes retail advertising for Westcity Waitakere, The Boundary (formerly Waitakere Mega Centre), The Hub Hornby and Bethlehem shopping centres.

Now, the addition of Coastlands and other Colliers properties to oOh!’s portfolio increases the audience it delivers to advertisers, reaching more than 1.6 million unique shoppers across New Zealand each fortnight.

oOh!’s general manager of New Zealand, Adam McGregor, says the contract win with Colliers illustrates oOh!’s continued commitment to increasing the quality and spread of advanced retail media solutions across New Zealand.

He adds it has increased the diversity of oOh!’s audience and its CRAFT audience measurement system now shows that it reaches more than 70 percent of the population of the regions it operates in.

“We are delighted to secure signage rights at the Coastlands shopping centre, the largest and only shopping centre in Wellington with two supermarkets,” says McGregor.

“Coastlands is the first shopping centre to have retail signage in this broader Wellington area on the Kapiti Coast, ranking third in foot traffic for the region.”

oOh! Media believes this is important for advertisers, given a market report for the Kapiti Council estimates the construction of the Kapiti Expressway will see spending in the region soar by over a third.

The Coastland shopping centre deal includes five ShopaLite panels and ten ShopaLive screens, as well as a large format digital Evoke panel.
