NZME announces change in agency team structure, launches Melbourne office

NZME has announced a change in structure to its agency team and is opening a Melbourne office in response to growth within the Victorian market. 

Angie Russell, currently audience strategist in Auckland, has been appointed to the role of senior audience strategist and moves to Melbourne in early March.

Lloyd Aickin will replace Russell as audience strategist in Auckland. Aickin comes from the agency digital team as a senior audience strategist. 

Chris Rudd has been appointed as the general manager of agency markets, and will also oversee the Wellington and Australian teams.

Meanhile, Drew De Santis and Jaana Collins have been appointed to the roles of Auckland team leads, media investment and radio partnerships respectively, both reporting to Rudd.

Rudd says NZME has created a strong agency management team with De Santis and Collins.

“Both come from extensive sales backgrounds that will continue to help us work closer with agencies and clients across the market.”

Joining the team as strategic partnerships lead – enterprise team is Paige Sundberg, who will work across all agencies in a long-term strategic partnership role.

Returning to the Auckland agency team is Sarah Hoffman, who has been appointed as an agency lead to drive revenue where the group see growth opportunities.

In the Wellington market, Allen Ngan has been appointed agency team leader. Matt Webb from the enterprise team will work alongside Ngan in Wellington, in a similar role to Sundberg in Auckland. Rudd will oversee the duo.

Paul Hancox, head of agency, enterprise, events, partnerships and rural, says what NZME has created is a strong agency team with experience and knowledge across media.

“We are already delivering some innovative creative thinking and areas of revenue growth driven by Chris and the agency team. We are looking forward to a great year ahead working with agencies and our client partners.”
